This 1987 Mercedes-Benz 560SL is a Japanese-market example that was imported to Belgium, and only shows 90k kilometers. What makes a Japanese spec 560SL so special is that from total 49.000 units made, only 3.084 were made for the Japanese, Australian and Canadian market. Only the Japanese version were Left hand drive and came with the European headlights, bumpers and spoiler.

This example is finished in Arctic White over desirable blue MB-Tex and Sport Check cloth. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, a blue soft top, a removable hardtop, silver-finished 15″ Gullideckel alloy wheels, a period correct Blaupunkt stereo, electric windows, central locking, and cruise control.

The Artic White paint is still in very good condition. The fenders and rear deck were repainted at some point but done very well. A newer soft top is installed and in great shape with no rips or tears. Chrome on the car is still excellent. There is zero rust or damages on the car. The hardtop is still present and sold with the car.

The interior is in near perfect condition. The cabin features two front bucket seats trimmed in blue MB-Tex with Sport Check cloth inserts and headrests, which are joined by matching door panels. The wood inserts are still in great shape. All gauges work as they should. The AC has been revised some time ago and blows ice cold.

Mechanically the car is in great shape with no issues. The car runs and drives as it should. The power steering has been rebuilt to address a leakage. Prior to the sale the car received a major maintenance with all fluids and filters changed plus spark plugs and wires.

Overall this is one of the few Japanese spec 560SL’s for sale and in excellent condition!

Dit exemplaar draagt de lak Arctic White met binnenin het gegeerde blauwe MB-Tex met Sport Check-motief. De uitrusting omvat een sperdifferentieel, een blauwe softtop, een afneembare hardtop, zilverkleurige 15″ Gullideckel lichtmetalen velgen, een period-correcte Blaupunkt-stereo, elektrische ramen, centrale vergrendeling en cruise control.


De lak Artic White is nog in zeer goede staat. De spatborden en het achterdek zijn ooit opnieuw gespoten, maar van uitstekende kwaliteit zonder kleurverschil. Er is een nieuwere softtop geïnstalleerd en deze verkeert in uitstekende staat, zonder scheuren of andere beschadigingen. Het chroom aan de auto is nog uitmuntend. Er is geen roest of schade aan de auto. De hardtop is nog aanwezig en wordt bij de auto verkocht.


Het interieur is in vrijwel perfecte staat. De cabine is voorzien van blauw MB-Tex leder met inzetstukken in Sport Check-stof, idem voor de deurpanelen. De houten inzetstukken zijn nog in uitstekende staat. Alle meters werken zoals het hoort. De AC is enige tijd geleden gereviseerd en blaast ijskoud.


Mechanisch is de auto in uitstekende staat en er zijn geen problemen. De auto remt en rijdt zoals het hoort. De stuurbekrachtiging is vernieuwd om een ​​lekkage op te lossen. Voorafgaand aan de verkoop heeft de auto een grote onderhoudsbeurt gehad waarbij alle vloeistoffen en filters zijn vervangen plus bougies en kabels.
