Die C 1 ist die erste Generation der Corvette, die von 1953 bis 1962 gebaut wurden. Typisch war, dass wohl jedes Jahr einige Neuerungen an Technik und Design eingeführt wurden.

Dabei ist das 1960er Modell wohl in den Augen vieler Betrachter das schönste Modell, da es sowohl die seitlichen Sicken hatte aber noch über das ursprüngliche bildschöne Heck verfügt.
