6.8 R Mulliner widebody

De nieuwprijs van de Continental Mulliner R werd niet genoemd, was alleen op aanvraag beschikbaar, en naar verluidt 1 miljoen. By far de duurste auto van dat moment. De eerst volgende kostte de helft. De Continental R Mulliner is er gekomen nadat de clientèle vroeg om een bruikbare Continental T Widebody. Daar kun je namelijk niet achterin zitten omdat hij verkorte wielbasis had. Speciaal voor die mensen is er een kleine serie gemaakt met zelfde sportieve karakter, dus 420pk en widebody carrosserie alleen dan met bruikbare zitplaatsen achterin. En dat is best goed vertoeven! De auto is origineel in Belgie geleverd en dat maakt het extra bijzonder, want de meeste van de 11 geproduceerde auto's in dat jaar gingen naar buiten Europa. Een origineel Europese auto is dus bijzonder, van eerste eigenaar die de auto heeft meegenomen naar Ibiza, vanwaar wij hem weer hebben teruggebracht naar het vaste land. Bentley specialist Leo Stoffels heeft de auto volledig geserviced waarbij er veel (ook preventief) is vervangen. We hebben laatst een zelfde auto in de verkoop gehad met de helft van de kilometers, maar deze is beduidend soepeler en sneller. Waarschijnlijk doordat de auto gewoon regelmatig is bereden. De kilometerstand is dus geenszins een dealbreaker, maar eerder een dealmaker want hij is erg scherp geprijsd.

We recently had a similar car for sale with half the mileage, but it is significantly smoother and faster. Probably because the car has just been driven regularly. The mileage is therefore by no means a deal breaker, but rather a deal maker because it is very competitively priced.
